As the Texas Independence Day celebrations continue into the weekend, many reflect on the significance that March 2, 1836 brought to a Republic that would one day become a great State.
Bigger and Better in Texas, Don’t Mess with Texas, and Land of Opportunity are common terms you will hear describing the liberty, optimism, and perseverance that characterizes this great State. Texas inspires innovation and is a champion for freedom. Texans, from the moment of declaring their independence on March 2, 1836, have proven eager to take risks and willing to fight for their freedoms.
